Joan Tarragó is an illustrator, painter and designer born in Barcelona, Spain, in 1981. In 2005 he graduated in Fine Arts at the Sant Jordi Faculty in Barcelona, ​​with a specialization in painting and prints. In 2006, he won an invitation to study at the fashion department of the Berlin-Weissensee Art Academy. He reached the final of ITS # 5 (International Talent Support) in Trieste, Italy.

This performance led him to be invited for an internship at John Galliano's Creative Studio in Paris, where he later became assistant to the "Print Designer". In 2008, he won the prize for best collection at the Apolda European Design Award in Weimar, Germany, after he collaborated with Quicksilver.

 

After these years of experience across Europe, he returned to Barcelona where he created his own studio. Since then, he has collaborated with big names in the fashion industry such as Converse, Nike and Ray Ban.

His academic and professional artistic background embraces illustration, graphic design and urban art. His eclectic approach to contemporary art has ensured him success at an international level.
