The rubbing of the material by Alex Claude

French painter, lives and works in France. Graduated from the School of Fine Arts in Paris with congratulations from the jury (1997). "Alex Claude fully assumes the play of brushes and brushes, the effect of drips, the erasure of colors, the rubbing of the material and the consequences of the palimpsest. His mastery is revealed in his workshop: the execution of the first jets - organized without preparatory drawings - until the intense and methodical completion (...) Always singular framing, a horizon line generally placed quite high, plans defining distant perspectives, points of view in diving are all elements of composition that make the viewer lose the usual visual cues. And yet, nothing is illegible in these representations." Extract from "Body of the work and unconscious of the artist", text by Olivier Deshayes.
