The painter Bruno Dyckmans received his education at the Academies of Antwerp and Berchem. He practiced neo-expressionist painting, then lyrical and cosmic abstraction with exploration of the myths of Icaros and Daidalos. Afterwards Dyckmans returned to the figurative painting in a bright color of figures, usually in groups.
