Kati Laforce studied graphic arts at KASK Ghent. After obtaining a Master’s degree in Liberal Arts she focused on photography and painting. In addition to her artistic work, she also teaches at KADE Beeld Deinze.

The work of Kati Laforce comes into being in an intuitive manner that embraces associations and coincidence. She draws inspiration from her immediate surroundings, she starts from observations and often searches for the field of tension between nature and culture. The result is an interplay of colour, areas and lines, light and dark, where the figurative and the abstract coexist.
