Muriel Le Pair (1970) graduated from the Art Academy in Utrecht in 1994. Since 2005 she paints the same person again and again. In endless repetition. She is fascinated by the moment of recognition; the glimpse that is enough to recognise someone from miles away.

The artist Muriel Le Pair lives and works in Amsterdam. She has a versatile oeuvre consisting of paintings, photography and drawings. Her work is included in various collections in the Germany, Belgium, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, England and the Netherlands. Her work has been nominated several times for the Koninklijke Prijs voor de Schilderkunst (2002, 2000, 1996, 1995), in 2000 she was nominated for the ArtOlive art prize.
